Mono Cliffs Provincal Park

January 5th 2017 My friend Amanda and I met up this morning and drove 45 minutes away to a provincial park in Orangeville, Ontario. Neither of us had ever been there before so we were excited to explore. We ended up hiking around the park for 3 hours in -10 degree weather. At the start of the hike, stumbled upon these giant rock walls with a boardwalk running through them and were completely amazing, from here we began taking photos for the rest of the day. As we continued on our hike, we came to a lookout and than walked across a frozen lake instead of following the trail. Just as we were heading back to the car, all of a sudden it started snowing and everything looks so magical. We both started freaking out about how perfect this moment was, she ripped off her jacket, I pulled out my camera and we took portraits for a good twenty minutes as the snow fell around us. This was definitely the highlight of the day, we were feeding off each others energy and having so much fun with it, we ended up creating some of my favourite photos I've ever taken. Working with a close friend was so much fun because 80% of these photos were candid shots of her just laughing and having a good time, rather than posing constantly. It was also a perk that she is an actual model. This day made me realize how thankful I am to be surrounded by people who allow me to collaborate and create art with them.
